Do Roxy hoodies tend to run small? ?

My daughter's jacket got stolen and she needs a new one. She is a little large in the waist and would like a "skater's jacket" like roxy, DC, volcom, and so on...do you have any ideas? and do roxy jackets run small? i found extra large jackets on the internet but i'm not sure if it will fit her. Please HelP!
